After a rather tough play, Mexico's Macos Graciani got a free kick in the 18th minute. 22 minutes in the game Luca Rouco did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Joel Gaona. 26 minutes into the match, Lobo Guará's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Daniel Anaya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lobo Guará's Daniel Anaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 30th minute of play. When Ezequiel Pereira came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Lobo Guará fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezequiel Pereira couldn't finish the play. When Berker Başhekim fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lobo Guará's protests and gave Berker Başhekim a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Lobo Guará's Berker Başhekim got a free kick in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 38th minute of play forced Lobo Guará's goalkeeper Daniel Anaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ezequiel Pereira to strike the kick off in the second half. Macos Graciani made in the 52nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Lobo Guará's Nando Barbosa. Lobo Guará were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nando Barbosa took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Willian Caca-Rato got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dante Lacasa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Daniel Anaya made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 57th minute. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lobo Guará's Aykut Adar was substituted for Kerimhan Özonder. Lobo Guará's Daniel Anaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 64th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ezequiel Pereira in the 68th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro de Moraes in the 95th minute of the match. 97 minutes in the game Macos Graciani did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Luca Zorita. Despite being the better team, Mexico failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
