Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nelsinho Nascimento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nelsinho Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 8th minute of play. Nelsinho Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After having played for 12 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldão Paulista in the 13th minute of play. Nelsinho Nascimento came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Felix Montenegro. But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 19 minutes into the match, Guará FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Nelsinho Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronaldão Paulista scored 2-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 30th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelsinho Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guará FC's goalkeeper Nelsinho Nascimento, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Guará FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Nelsinho Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st match minute, Guará FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristian Beckenbauer to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the match, Guará FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Nelsinho Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nelsinho Nascimento. Nelsinho Nascimento dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ronaldão Paulista made a kick off. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Pedro Baiano in the 52nd minute of play. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Nelsinho Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guará FC's Nelsinho Nascimento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Guará FC from getting a goal against them. After 62 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Guará FC's Ronaldão Paulista. But to his dismay, Ronaldão Paulista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nelsinho Nascimento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 79th minute. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nelsinho Nascimento came out and tried to block the shot, but Felix Montenegro slotted it home off the left post making it 3-4 in the 79th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Nelsinho Nascimento in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nelsinho Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldão Paulista in the 92nd minute of play. The Guará FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
