Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronaldão Penha. Ronaldão Penha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ronaldão Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 7th minute of the match. Ronaldão Penha came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Ronaldão Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 17th minute of the match. Ronaldão Penha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 26th minute of play. After 27 minutes Vilma Palma's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Agustín Saelices got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ronaldão Penha quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Cristian Sancho put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Ronaldão Penha. Higinio Gaitan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldão Penha having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Agustín Saelices ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronaldão Penha was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benedykt Pawelczyk went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benedykt Pawelczyk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-5 in the 52nd playminute. 56 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronaldão Penha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 57 minutes into the game, Ciriaco Honesto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vilma Palma's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Ciriaco Honesto hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ronaldão Penha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 62nd minute. In the 67th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. Ronaldão Penha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 69th minute. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Antonio Arias got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute of the match Marcelo Huly sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. Marcelo Huly shot a long shot in the 71st minute and a light blocked Julio Vera hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 2-5. Ronaldão Penha was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Agustín Saelices capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Agustín Saelices really showed his touch with that goal: 2-6. In the 79th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Zorita to maneuver through the defense. When Benedykt Pawelczyk came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Vilma Palma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benedykt Pawelczyk couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedykt Pawelczyk in the 85th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronaldão Penha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 87th minute. In the 87th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ronaldão Penha. Ronaldão Penha yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-7. 92 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Higinio Gaitan came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
