In the 23rd minute, Julian Murillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wachirapong Wattanachinda saved Clube do Remo MZ from getting behind. Wachirapong Wattanachinda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 38 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wachirapong Wattanachinda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 43 minutes into the game, Kang Cheng Ao threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The Clube do Remo MZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baal Grunberg's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Didi Mello was slow to take the kick. During this time Clube do Remo MZ's players had a chance to rest. Peru's Julian Murillo pulled a muscle in his leg after 58 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 58th minute, one of Clube do Remo MZ:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Clube do Remo MZ. The goalkeeper, Wachirapong Wattanachinda, was totally fooled by Peru's Luz Tejedor, who 61 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dagoberto Sandoval, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Peru were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Clube do Remo MZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Eliseo Mina managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Peru had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
