Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baal Grunberg in the 3rd minute of play. If Abram Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 8 minutes into the match, Baal Grunberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baal Grunberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Wachirapong Wattanachinda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 11th minute of the match. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Montenegro in the 12th minute. The corner ended in Kevin Mastache almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Clube do Remo MZ's Wachirapong Wattanachinda did a great save. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Dagoberto Sandoval tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiaguinho Mandrak in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Clube do Remo MZ's goalkeeper Wachirapong Wattanachinda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 26 minutes into the game, Dagoberto Sandoval was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clube do Remo MZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Colombia the free kick. After a rather tough play, Clube do Remo MZ's Dagoberto Sandoval got a free kick in the 26th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Santino Seco notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Clube do Remo MZ's Wachirapong Wattanachinda. Wachirapong Wattanachinda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 42nd minute, Pascual Carballar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 45th minute, Santino Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antonio Indiano hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Didi Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube do Remo MZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Didi Mello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baal Grunberg to make the kick off. In the 51st minute of the match, Pascual Carballar got a very nice opportunity to score, but Wachirapong Wattanachinda was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Dagoberto Sandoval received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Tiaguinho Mandrak came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Clube do Remo MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Wachirapong Wattanachinda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baal Grunberg in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Didi Mello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. A collision led to Clube do Remo MZ getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Didi Mello hit a great ball. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagoberto Sandoval in the 79th minute of play. After 84 minutes of play, Clube do Remo MZ's Dagoberto Sandoval made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 87th minute Baal Grunberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baal Grunberg in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 91st minute of the match Didi Mello sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Manzanares skillfully saved the ball. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Dagoberto Sandoval put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Wachirapong Wattanachinda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
