Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gabriel Corderro started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erland Sagbakken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Corderro in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute Gaudencio Chorche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Corderro came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erland Sagbakken didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luca Zorita went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Erland Sagbakken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Dante Lacasa was a little too slow when Gaudencio Chorche got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-1. The supporters of Mexico booed when Atletico Saladillo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaudencio Chorche didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erland Sagbakken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 33 minutes into the match, Atletico Saladillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Erland Sagbakken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mexico booed when Atletico Saladillo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gogo Astigar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Gaona in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erland Sagbakken prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Corderro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alejandro Ceandro's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alejandro Ceandro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Atletico Saladillo FC's Alejandro Ceandro got a free kick in the 44th minute. Erland Sagbakken came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After the first half Mexico were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Alberto Tafalla had to leave the field with a concussion. Severo Lorenz's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severo Lorenz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th minute, Severo Lorenz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Gaudencio Chorche fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atletico Saladillo FC's protests and gave Gaudencio Chorche a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mexico booed when Atletico Saladillo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaudencio Chorche didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erland Sagbakken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xavier Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the game, Xavier Seco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Erland Sagbakken. Xavier Seco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Gaudencio Chorche kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 75th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erland Sagbakken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute Xavier Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erland Sagbakken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute Prospero Hug shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Corderro in the 83rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Xavier Seco got a free kick in the 86th minute. Atletico Saladillo FC's Mateo Ekialde was substituted for Prospero Hug. 91 minutes into the match, Atletico Saladillo FC's goalkeeper Erland Sagbakken had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xavier Seco. Severo Lorenz kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
