The Hvam FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kristen Krasmer should have stopped the shot. In the 22nd minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. After 23 minutes Hvam FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Luca Rouco managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Kristen Krasmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Despite this Kristen Krasmer quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Stuparu Chyba hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Hvam FC's Kristen Krasmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 38th minute of play. Kristen Krasmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute, Hvam FC's Stephan Isager dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stephan Isager was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes, Tang Kang Xi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hvam FC and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 55th minute, Alberto Tafalla fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 56th minute, Stephan Isager left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hvam FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 60th minute Stephan Isager shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hvam FC's Stephan Isager got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Hvam FC's Kristen Krasmer got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ataol Toprak went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 70th minute, Stephan Isager made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. 76 minutes into the match, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kristen Krasmer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Guimarães came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Bruno Guimarães had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruno Guimarães was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. After having played for 93 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mexico's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Hvam FC had won, even though Mexico had held more of the ball.
