Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Bernardo Ado started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 2nd minute, Estudiantes de América's Lino Ekialde ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After 6 minutes of play, Colombia's Axel Montenegro made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Erasto was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 9th minute, Axel Montenegro made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Erasto. Estudiantes de América's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes de América's Ildefonso Balesio got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Prospero Abadia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Gustavo Bautista notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bernardo Ado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 30 minutes into the game, Kevin Mastache was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Colombia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Estudiantes de América the free kick. Rolando Erasto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardo Ado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Bautista, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Estudiantes de América's Rolando Erasto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 37th minute of play. After 42 minutes of play, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Erasto was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 47 minutes, Eustacio Rito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estudiantes de América's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eustacio Rito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Colombia were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. Rolando Erasto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute Bernardo Ado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Axel Montenegro hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Abram Sarmiento took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Erasto. Rolando Erasto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of Estudiantes de América:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Colombia:s goal. In the 65th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Erasto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. 70 minutes into the match, Kevin Mastache dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rolando Erasto, 2-6. Melchor Evarado's late challenge caught a Colombia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Melchor Evarado helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Colombia booed when Estudiantes de América was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melchor Evarado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute Lino Ekialde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Erasto was a little too slow when Ignacio Mastache got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 2-8. In the 88th minute Kevin Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Erasto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Estudiantes de América getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Javier Markel hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute, Abram Secada fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The Colombia fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Colombia's Ignacio Mastache looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-10 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Estudiantes de América's Bernardo Ado got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
