Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rafael Sobis started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Luiz Guilherme Varela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bandelocos's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Guilherme Varela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bandelocos's Nilson do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of play. Nilson do Vale didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Nilson do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play. Luís Gustavo Urbano charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Gustavo Urbano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Bandelocos's Luís Gustavo Urbano got a free kick in the 24th minute. After having played for 25 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nilson do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 27th minute of the match. Nilson do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute of play. Luiz Guilherme Varela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Billy Dowdall's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Billy Dowdall helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Bandelocos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Billy Dowdall didn't get a good kick on the ball. 38 minutes into the game, Antonio Arias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bandelocos the free kick. In the 38th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. Billy Dowdall's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julio Vera firmly grabbed it by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Luiz Guilherme Varela kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 1-1 in the 41 minute of play. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Guilherme Varela in the 43rd minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nilson do Vale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 54th minute. Daniel Brasil charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Brasil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 57 minutes into the game, Betão Quirino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bandelocos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 63rd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A very nice done corner allowed Luis Andino to score against Nilson do Vale in Bandelocos's goal. 1-2 after 63 minutes. After 68 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. In the 69th minute of the match Billy Dowdall shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 77th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Bandelocos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 77th minute, Felix Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Sobis came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bandelocos's goalkeeper Nilson do Vale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 95th minute Luiz Guilherme Varela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
