In the 33rd minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renan Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 41 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Escribano. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ioseba Gonzalvez in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Absalon Berritsgård managed to get in a good position for a shot. 20 de Março FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Absalon Berritsgård was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The 20 de Março FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Uruguay were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Waldemar Frænkel to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Waldemar Frænkel made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Renan Schmidt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Waldemar Frænkel's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Waldemar Frænkel helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to 20 de Março FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Waldemar Frænkel hit a great ball. Renan Schmidt acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 60th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Bruno Beldad. Absalon Berritsgård sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Renan Schmidt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Waldemar Frænkel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ioseba Gonzalvez during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ioseba Gonzalvez hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Renan Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 88th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Uruguay left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than 20 de Março FC.
