Simbo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tincho Palermo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Simbo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Simbo FC's Nestor Sancho got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 43rd play minute Tincho Palermo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Julio Vera. 4-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mías Khalifa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tincho Palermo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Tincho Palermo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Simbo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Mías Khalifa in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 57th minute. Simbo FC's Miliano Sacristán was substituted for Tincho Palermo. After 58 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mías Khalifa could save by the left post. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Mías Khalifa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simbo FC's Niceto Nafarroa was substituted for Boleslaw Sidorowicz. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Mías Khalifa made a huge save. Simbo FC's Mías Khalifa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Simbo FC from getting a goal against them. After 79 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Miliano Sacristán put it in 6-1 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. When the referee blew the final whistle, Simbo FC could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
