Luiz Pitta took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ubaldo Fillol. Ubaldo Fillol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Gaston Roderigo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frederico Vianna in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the match, BRASIL.Sp's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Guedes came free, but Ubaldo Fillol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Frederico Vianna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Washington Bezerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Ubaldo Fillol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Gaston Roderigo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Gaston Roderigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederico Vianna in the 51st minute of play. In the 54th minute, Chico Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fellipe Travassos hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, BRASIL.Sp's Breno Sá sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaston Roderigo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ubaldo Fillol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Pitta in the 69th minute of play. Gaston Roderigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júnior Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Gaston Roderigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alin Cucerdean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of BRASIL.Sp booed when América-SC F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliézer Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute of the match Frédson Mineiro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gaston Roderigo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to BRASIL.Sp getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Alin Cucerdean hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute Alin Cucerdean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Roderigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. América-SC F.C.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
