In the 7th minute, Nardo Tuo made a precise shot to the right of Merlin Dolan. Zamalek FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 11 minutes into the match, Piearres Somiedo notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Zamalek FC's Merlin Dolan. Merlin Dolan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Piearres Somiedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Merlin Dolan was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. In the 18thth minute of the game Jaizki Colina who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zamalek FC's Merlin Dolan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 22 minutes, Paul De La Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zamalek FC and the Sporting Buceo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paul De La Cruz hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vachon Camaño in the 23rd minute of play forced Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Merlin Dolan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Jaizki Colina left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Buceo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. 27 minutes into the match, Piearres Somiedo notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Zamalek FC's Merlin Dolan. Merlin Dolan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Sporting Buceo getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Vachon Camaño hit a great ball. The nice shot from Carson Sherrill in the 32ndth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Guillen Ubiña had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. With splendid footwork Carson Sherrill arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-5 by the left pole in the game's 32nd minute. Jaizki Colina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th minute, Jaizki Colina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Merlin Dolan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. In the 43rd minute, Sagrario Yribarren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Merlin Dolan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nardo Tuo in the 44th minute of the match. Nardo Tuo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Merlin Dolan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nardo Tuo was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Nardo Tuo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Buceo's supporters rose to their feet, but Nardo Tuo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Merlin Dolan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Zamalek FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Santo Knox hit a great ball. When Favila Heras came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Sporting Buceo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Favila Heras couldn't finish the play. Jaizki Colina might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Merlin Dolan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaizki Colina ran back to his position shaking his head. Santo Knox kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Jaizki Colina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Merlin Dolan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Zamalek FC's Merlin Dolan got control of the ball when Jaizki Colina tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Nardo Tuo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Merlin Dolan. The goal made the score 1-7. The supporters of Sporting Buceo booed when Zamalek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Will Holt didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Zamalek FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Otto Ciauri hit a great ball. Merlin Dolan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Favila Heras, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute, Nardo Tuo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sporting Buceo's Jaizki Colina got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 85 played minutes Sporting Buceo got a freekick which was hit by Rene Calleja. If Sagrario Yribarren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 played minutes Sporting Buceo got a freekick which was hit by Rene Calleja. In the 94th minute, Zamalek FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jaizki Colina fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 95 played minutes Nardo Tuo rounded Zamalek FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-8. Sporting Buceo played a much better game than Zamalek FC and deserved their victory. The Zamalek FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
