Merlin Dolan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of J.J J.J.'s shot from short distance in the 10th minute. 12 minutes into the game, GALATASARAY O.Z.'s J.J J.J. nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Merlin Dolan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 17th minute of the match Zamalek FC got a corner. GALATASARAY O.Z.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jake Howard ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Jake Howard got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Paco Zamora quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Emrullah Toygun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Merlin Dolan having to interfere. In the 23rdth minute of the game J.J J.J. who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zamalek FC's Merlin Dolan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Emrullah Toygun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GALATASARAY O.Z.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zamalek FC the free kick. In the 24th match minute, GALATASARAY O.Z. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emrullah Toygun to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that J.J J.J.'s extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Merlin Dolan was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Merlin Dolan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from J.J J.J., who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Will Holt during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of GALATASARAY O.Z. booed when Zamalek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Will Holt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 37 minutes of play, GALATASARAY O.Z.'s Emrullah Toygun made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Merlin Dolan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling J.J J.J. in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Merlin Dolan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 42ndth minute of the game J.J J.J. who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zamalek FC's Merlin Dolan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. J.J J.J. was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when J.J J.J. got free with Merlin Dolan in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 54thth minute of the game J.J J.J. who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zamalek FC's Merlin Dolan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, J.J J.J. put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Merlin Dolan. Merlin Dolan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emrullah Toygun, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Gökçen Kulan scored 0-6 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Merlin Dolan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The GALATASARAY O.Z. fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when GALATASARAY O.Z.'s J.J J.J. looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Zamalek FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Emrullah Toygun scored to the left of an out of position Merlin Dolan, making the score, 0-8. 88 minutes into the game, Emrullah Toygun cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. Merlin Dolan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Merlin Dolan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emrullah Toygun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to GALATASARAY O.Z. getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Gökçen Kulan hit a great ball. GALATASARAY O.Z. played a much better game than Zamalek FC and deserved their victory. The Zamalek FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
