After having played for 2 minutes, Zacarias Goleš managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amboy FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zacarias Goleš was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cleithon Ortiz charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cleithon Ortiz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Amboy FC booed when América-SC F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleithon Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaston Roderigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loco Loco, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 7 minutes into the game, Loco Loco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Amboy FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave América-SC F.C. the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Washington Bezerra in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustavo Bernebe saved Amboy FC from getting behind. With 11 minutes on the clock, Pedrinho de Sena commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for América-SC F.C.! Gaston Roderigo made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Zacarias Goleš sent off a good shot on target. Gaston Roderigo came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Amboy FC's Zacarias Goleš. But to his dismay, Zacarias Goleš quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Luiz Pitta's late challenge caught a Amboy FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Pitta helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th minute, Luiz Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, América-SC F.C.'s Luís Henrique got a free kick in the 27th minute. After a defensive mix-up in América-SC F.C.'s zone, Loco Loco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaston Roderigo came out of the goal and Loco Loco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Washington Bezerra kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Benito Eutor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. América-SC F.C.'s Leonel Guedes suffered a concussion after 33 minutes and had to leave the field. Loco Loco was shown his second yellow card after 33 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. When Alfredão Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the América-SC F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredão Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Luiz Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Gustavo Bernebe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zé Vo to make the kick off. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Zé Vo sped through América-SC F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gaston Roderigo. In the 59th minute, Fellipe Travassos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Sixto Ereinotz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amboy FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sixto Ereinotz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaston Roderigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gaston Roderigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sixto Ereinotz, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After 65 played minutes Alfredão Montenegro rounded Amboy FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. In the 68th match minute, América-SC F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fellipe Travassos to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of América-SC F.C. booed when Amboy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jani La Marca didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Washington Bezerra came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the América-SC F.C. fans jumped to their feet. Washington Bezerra came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gustavo Bernebe could save by the left post. América-SC F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fellipe Travassos in the 75th minute. After taking down the ball on América-SC F.C.'s corner Fellipe Travassos fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gustavo Bernebe quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredão Montenegro in the 76th minute of play forced Amboy FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Bernebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute Alfredão Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Bernebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Washington Bezerra got free with Gustavo Bernebe in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Washington Bezerra got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Amboy FC's zone, Alfredão Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Bernebe came out of the goal and Alfredão Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Washington Bezerra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gustavo Bernebe having to make a save. Maximino Donzel kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Alfredo Secco hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Amboy FC had won after a very even match.
