After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Piearres Somiedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Buceo's supporters rose to their feet, but Piearres Somiedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Merlin Dolan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Piearres Somiedo in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Merlin Dolan saved Zamalek FC from getting behind. A hard shot 9 in the game by Piearres Somiedo from a close distance when the talented Merlin Dolan managed to make a qualified save. Zamalek FC's players were relieved. Merlin Dolan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaizki Colina in the 13th minute. Nardo Tuo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Merlin Dolan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Zamalek FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Carson Sherrill hit a great ball. Merlin Dolan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Piearres Somiedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Malcolm Neal fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zamalek FC's protests and gave Malcolm Neal a yellow card for diving instead. Merlin Dolan was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Vachon Camaño. In the 19th match minute, Zamalek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malcolm Neal to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute Piearres Somiedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merlin Dolan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute Sporting Buceo were awarded a corner. Clementi Llamosas went to the cornerflag to take it. Carson Sherrill hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Merlin Dolan made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Piearres Somiedo sent off a good shot on target. Piearres Somiedo didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-0 via right post in the game's 28th minute. Sporting Buceo's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! After 32 played minutes Piearres Somiedo rounded Zamalek FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Merlin Dolan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Piearres Somiedo in the 34th minute of the match. Merlin Dolan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaizki Colina in the 35th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Merlin Dolan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Piearres Somiedo. If Piearres Somiedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Merlin Dolan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Piearres Somiedo in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Merlin Dolan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Piearres Somiedo made the kick off in the second half. Jaizki Colina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Merlin Dolan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Piearres Somiedo took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Merlin Dolan. Merlin Dolan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Sporting Buceo's Nardo Tuo got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Piearres Somiedo in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Merlin Dolan saved Zamalek FC from getting behind. In the 67th minute, Jaizki Colina left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Buceo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Piearres Somiedo charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Piearres Somiedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Piearres Somiedo hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Sporting Buceo's Piearres Somiedo got his second yellow card of the match in the 72nd minute. The referee ordered Piearres Somiedo off the ground. A collision led to Sporting Buceo getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Piearres Somiedo hit a great ball. Guillen Ubiña was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Otto Ciauri. In the 75th minute, Jaizki Colina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 77 minutes into the match, Zamalek FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jaizki Colina came free, but Merlin Dolan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute, Jaizki Colina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Merlin Dolan was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. After a defensive mix-up in Zamalek FC's zone, Favila Heras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Merlin Dolan came out of the goal and Favila Heras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nardo Tuo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Merlin Dolan having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Sporting Buceo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
