Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Richard Roma made the kick off which started today's match. After 9 minutes, Richard Roma mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brooklyn SC and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Panama booed when Brooklyn SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Roma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frankie Gunn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Cambeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Frankie Gunn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 17th minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julio Hess went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Frankie Gunn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frankie Gunn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 25th minute of the match. The throw-in from Matthew Garrido in the 28th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Brooklyn SC's Douglas Pace. Eddie Zamora took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Frankie Gunn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 34th minute of play forced Brooklyn SC's goalkeeper Frankie Gunn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eddie Zamora got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st minute, Abraham Alguacil left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Berganza struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Frankie Gunn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. 47 minutes into the game, Sheldon Levine was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brooklyn SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. The supporters of Panama booed when Brooklyn SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sheldon Levine didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brooklyn SC's Frankie Gunn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Berganza was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Panama's Tomas Berganza dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. Abraham Alguacil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Frankie Gunn made a huge save. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Hess, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Abraham Alguacil could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Frankie Gunn however easily saved by the left post. Isidoro Sarmiento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Frankie Gunn made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abraham Alguacil got free with Frankie Gunn in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eddie Zamora charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eddie Zamora the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 69th match minute, Brooklyn SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eddie Zamora to maneuver through the defense. Brooklyn SC's Frankie Gunn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Brooklyn SC from getting a goal against them. 73 minutes into the match, Brooklyn SC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Frankie Gunn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isidoro Sarmiento's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Frankie Gunn firmly grabbed it by the left post. 76 minutes had been played when some careless play by Brooklyn SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abraham Alguacil was slow to take the kick. During this time Panama's players had a chance to rest. In the 78th minute, one of Panama:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Panama. In the 79th minute, Eddie Zamora ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cotilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. 82 minutes into the game, Brooklyn SC's Julio Hess nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Brooklyn SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abraham Alguacil was slow to take the kick. During this time Panama's players had a chance to rest. Frankie Gunn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 90th minute of the match. In the 96th match minute, Brooklyn SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Roma to maneuver through the defense. 98 minutes into the game, Miguel Miralles threw the ball into play from the sideline. Brooklyn SC's Ace Owens quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frankie Gunn having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Brooklyn SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Panama had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
