Colombia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Jano Marinho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pedro Manzanares, 1-0. Renascer's Donato Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 11th minute of play. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edgard Linhares helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st minute, Edgard Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Luisão Favoretto kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Abram Secada might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donato Souza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abram Secada ran back to his position shaking his head. 76 minutes into the match, Renascer's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Mastache came free, but Donato Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gong Yi Feng in the 79th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Abram Secada took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Donato Souza to make any attempt to save it. Renascer's Jano Marinho got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Colombia's attentive Pascual Carballar managed to snatch the ball when Vinícius de Andrade made a throw-in in the 86th minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Vinícius de Andrade in the 87th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Orlando Tafalla. When Renascer's Edmundo Carvalho in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Colombia's attentive Samuel Navarro managed to snatch the ball when Horácio Maciel made a throw-in in the 96th minute of the game. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Colombia players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
