But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salih Asalet couldn't finish the play. Lautaro Navarro guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Valentín Carvallo hit a great ball. Salih Asalet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmundo Espiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Baptiste Marie-Joseph made a huge save.
