The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. BES MUDI BANDITS's Einar Heiberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Klingelmann in the 3rd minute of play. Einar Heiberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Happe in the 5th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Peter Guillou during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 7th minute, Peter Guillou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mattias Klepper hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Giovanni Maurits showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Potter Shirdon, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Giovanni Maurits was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 18 minutes into the match, Dagobert von Hompesch zu Bolheim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Einar Heiberg. BES MUDI BANDITS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dagobert von Hompesch zu Bolheim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Carlos Allan charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Allan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carlos Allan hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After 24th play minutes Karl Happe shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Einar Heiberg and just under the crossbar into goal. 34 minutes in the game Victor Schleck did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Simon Backer. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karl Happe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, TSV 1860 München was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagobert von Hompesch zu Bolheim to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Mattias Klepper managed to get in a good position for a shot. TSV 1860 München's supporters rose to their feet, but Mattias Klepper was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Einar Heiberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Einar Heiberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mark Klingelmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Einar Heiberg made a huge save. Einar Heiberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl Happe, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. BES MUDI BANDITS's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
