In the 20th minute, Toro Halland made a precise shot to the right of Bruno Barrett. Curacao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Abelardo Bernabel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bruno Barrett came out and tried to block the shot, but Abelardo Bernabel slotted it home off the left post making it 6-0 in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toro Halland in the 28th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Centeno's Hakan Kaan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bruno Barrett. That made the score 7-0 after 29 minutes of play. Toro Halland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Curacao defense, Abelardo Bernabel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Barrett. The Curacao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Barrett should have stopped the shot. Abelardo Bernabel scored 16-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruno Barrett, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Centeno booed when Curacao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Cox didn't get a good kick on the ball.
