In the 3rd minute Alfred Olsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frits Heinel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Olsson in the 4th minute of play forced Palestra14's goalkeeper Frits Heinel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Alfred Olsson notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Palestra14's Frits Heinel. Frits Heinel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 9 minutes into the game, Alfred Olsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Frits Heinel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Gianluigi Lentini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ennio Daniele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frits Heinel having to interfere. Palestra14's Frits Heinel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Olsson in the 26th minute of play. After 27 minutes, Vinnie Jones mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palestra14 and the Calenzano players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Palestra14 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinnie Jones to maneuver through the defense. Antonello Di Toma blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frits Heinel having to make a save. Federico Tedeschi scored 3-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frits Heinel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alfred Olsson struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Frits Heinel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calenzano. In the 38th minute Alfred Olsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frits Heinel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Calenzano's Federico Tedeschi got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vinnie Jones hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfred Olsson to strike the kick off in the second half. When Federico Tedeschi came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Calenzano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Tedeschi couldn't finish the play. Frits Heinel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfred Olsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. When Alfred Olsson came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Calenzano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfred Olsson couldn't finish the play. Calenzano made a substitution. Yaniusky Pardo replaced Alessio Santini. Fausto Fioriti hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute, Fausto Fioriti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th match minute, Palestra14 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nino Sócrates to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the match, Palestra14's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Di Matteo came free, but Frits Heinel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Palestra14 defense, Arturo Di Matteo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frits Heinel. The Palestra14 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frits Heinel should have stopped the shot. Frits Heinel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Di Matteo, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Donato Balestra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cain Vieri in the 86th minute of play. Arturo Di Matteo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arturo Di Matteo took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frits Heinel. Frits Heinel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Donato Balestra stood somewhat misplaced when Gianluigi Lentini came free in front of goal and shot 7-1 to the left of him in the 93 minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Calenzano fully deserved thier win.
