In the 4th minute, Zhao Yue Cheng reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 1-0. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Zhao Yue Chengs short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zhao Yue Cheng went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aki Guardo in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 30th minute. The corner ended in Tomas Illescas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but LUIZ PANATO's Guto Taffarel did a great save. In the 32nd minute of the match, Aki Guardo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan Ferrant saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. LUIZ PANATO were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gualter Camargo took the corner. The corner led LUIZ PANATO's Gualter Camargo to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aki Guardo in the 35th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Aki Guardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LUIZ PANATO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guto Taffarel having to make a save. Guto Taffarel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 52nd minute. In the 58th minute LUIZ PANATO were awarded a corner. Gualter Camargo went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 60thth minute of the game Zhao Yue Cheng who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 61 minutes into the game, Aki Guardo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guto Taffarel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zhao Yue Cheng in the 69th minute of play. Zhao Yue Cheng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhao Yue Cheng in the 78th minute of the match. The supporters of Venezuela booed when LUIZ PANATO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zhao Yue Cheng didn't get a good kick on the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guto Taffarel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. There was no doubt that LUIZ PANATO were the better team. LUIZ PANATO's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
