The corner led Mexico's Joel Gaona to fire away a dangerous shot which Bedrettin Münir despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Bedrettin Münir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 10th minute of the match. Seferihisar İdman Gücü's Edmondo Melani got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Seferihisar İdman Gücü's Bedrettin Münir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 16th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adem Yadigar in the 17th minute of the match. Leandro Gonzalez Pirez's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bedrettin Münir having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hjalmar Dahlbom in the 39th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmondo Melani. Edmondo Melani could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmondo Melani made a kick off. After having played for 50 minutes, Luca Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luca Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Alberto Tafalla hit a great ball. Hjalmar Dahlbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Joel Gaona kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bedrettin Münir. That made the score 1-1 in the 58 minute of play. Bedrettin Münir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 61st minute of the match. The supporters of Seferihisar İdman Gücü booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Rouco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmondo Melani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
