With a left leg Silvestre Peli saved La Bichineta from getting behind. In the 20th minute, Valentin Voicu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvestre Peli was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. VILLARREAL UNITED's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Florian Pruss in the 26th minute. If Hauk Hareide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hauk Hareide to make the kick off. Baraxil Sarrate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hauk Hareide, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute.
