The shot was stopped by Guy Davis but with some difficulty. With a little luck, Holy Cross Mountains's Guy Davis got control of the ball when Feliksas Fenichev tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guy Davis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feliksas Fenichev in the 7th minute. Guy Davis was a little too slow when Alvaro Raymond got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvaro Raymond got free with Guy Davis in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alvaro Raymond scored 3-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guy Davis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 22 played minutes Holy Cross Mountains got a freekick which was hit by Franz Stonehouse. Guy Davis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Raymond in the 45th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Holy Cross Mountains's 柯翔峰 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fernando Selatse narrowly saved just below the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
