Luís Paulo Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Vollmar in the 17th minute of the match. Alexsandro Tróia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adam Pacholewski scored 0-2 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Paulo Romero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luís Paulo Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Pacholewski in the 26th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Adam Pacholewski made a precise shot to the right of Luís Paulo Romero. Flying Dutch's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Luís Paulo Romero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thomas Vollmar's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marian Erland in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Paulo Romero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Marian Erland put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Luís Paulo Romero. The supporters of Flying Dutch booed when Newcastle United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Lampa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Adam Pacholewski sped through Flying Dutch's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luís Paulo Romero. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thomas Vollmar made a kick off. Kajetan Kochniarczyk charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
