Godfredo Gau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Luís Paulo Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Paulo Romero was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Godfredo Gau capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Godfredo Gau really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Carlos Porto in the 10th minute of play forced Flying Dutch's goalkeeper Luís Paulo Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Alexsandro Tróia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manuel Loren was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Volvio Moreno's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jardel Pinheiro was slow to take the kick. During this time Flying Dutch's players had a chance to rest. Flying Dutch's Jardel Pinheiro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Manuel Loren in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Maurino Acarreta hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Niculae Maior received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Manuel Loren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the game, João Carlos Porto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luís Paulo Romero. João Carlos Porto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. With a little luck, Flying Dutch's Luís Paulo Romero got control of the ball when João Carlos Porto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luís Paulo Romero made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Godfredo Gau sent off a good shot on target. 35 minutes into the match, João Carlos Porto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Luís Paulo Romero, 4-0. Manuel Loren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niculae Maior, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Jardel Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Haroldo Presebal sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Luís Paulo Romero threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Haroldo Presebal this time. In the 45th minute, Macerio Cubria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Flying Dutch's Jardel Pinheiro got a free kick in the 46th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Flying Dutch's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Presebal came free, but Luís Paulo Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 47 played minutes Volvio Moreno got a freekick which was hit by João Carlos Porto. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Luís Paulo Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godfredo Gau in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 57thth minute of the game Godfredo Gau who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flying Dutch's Luís Paulo Romero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Godfredo Gau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Macerio Cubria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Manuel Loren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Flying Dutch defense, Godfredo Gau kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Paulo Romero. The Flying Dutch fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Paulo Romero should have stopped the shot. Godfredo Gau's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Paulo Romero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Macerio Cubria got free with Manuel Loren in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luís Paulo Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfredo Gau, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute, Santiago Jacindo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Paulo Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurino Acarreta in the 82nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Godfredo Gau in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Paulo Romero saved Flying Dutch from getting behind.
