With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfonso Goicoechea in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carmelo Abajas saved Proson FC from getting behind. After 9 minutes, Alfonso Goicoechea made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Proson FC's Carmelo Abajas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mugur Chiriac in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carmelo Abajas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 17 minutes into the match, Proson FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Goicoechea came free, but Carmelo Abajas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute Alfonso Goicoechea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carmelo Abajas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carmelo Abajas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugur Chiriac in the 21st minute of play. Club Atlético Atlanta were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Proson FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ciro Ferdinand took the corner. Carmelo Abajas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mugur Chiriac, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pankracy Glogowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albertino Bezerra's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Atlanta from getting a goal against them. When Club Atlético Atlanta's Alfonso Goicoechea in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Proson FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 46th minute Club Atlético Atlanta were awarded a corner. Ciro Ferdinand went to the cornerflag to take it. Club Atlético Atlanta's Ciro Ferdinand was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carmelo Abajas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfonso Goicoechea made a kick off. After some careless play in the Proson FC defense, Alfonso Goicoechea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carmelo Abajas. The Proson FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carmelo Abajas should have stopped the shot. In the 61stth minute of the game Alfonso Goicoechea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Proson FC's Carmelo Abajas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugur Chiriac in the 62nd minute of play forced Proson FC's goalkeeper Carmelo Abajas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 66 minutes, Alfonso Goicoechea made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Proson FC's Carmelo Abajas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Club Atlético Atlanta made a substitution. Eustaquio Jaizki replaced Mugur Chiriac. Club Atlético Atlanta's Benigno Abreu was substituted for Remigio Erramu. Carmelo Abajas came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético Atlanta's Alfonso Goicoechea. But to his dismay, Alfonso Goicoechea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Alfonso Goicoechea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Carmelo Abajas made a huge save. In the 84th minute, Club Atlético Atlanta's Alfonso Goicoechea dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. Alfonso Goicoechea in the 92ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Carmelo Abajas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emil Chwalkiewicz during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th minute, Emil Chwalkiewicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Club Atlético Atlanta players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
