After a rather tough play, Volvio Moreno's Zacarias Cambranes got a free kick in the 2nd minute. André Maraschin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Manuel Loren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Pero kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Tirense F.C.'s Washington de Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Carlos Porto in the 10th minute of play. João Carlos Porto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Washington de Lara made a huge save. In the 15th minute of the match, Raúl Noriega got a very nice opportunity to score, but Washington de Lara was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Christian Rossi hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Ruperto Naike left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tirense F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 22nd minute André Maraschin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Loren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raúl Noriega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Washington de Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute of the match Volvio Moreno got a corner. Tirense F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Haroldo Presebal ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Silverio Barrionuevo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. João Carlos Porto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Washington de Lara when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Raúl Noriega took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Washington de Lara. Washington de Lara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 42nd minute Silverio Barrionuevo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Washington de Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Volvio Moreno's Silverio Barrionuevo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Washington de Lara. Washington de Lara yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when João Carlos Porto made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Carlos Porto in the 50th minute of play forced Tirense F.C.'s goalkeeper Washington de Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Tirense F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when João Carlos Porto came free, but Washington de Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Washington de Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Noriega in the 59th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raúl Noriega in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Washington de Lara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Manuel Loren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Maraschin, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The Tirense F.C. players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Volvio Moreno from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
