Mauricio Naldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Noriega in the 2nd minute of play. After 3 minutes of play, Volvio Moreno's Silverio Barrionuevo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mauricio Naldo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 7 played minutes San Lorenzo fc got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Sanches. Mauricio Naldo made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Raúl Noriega sent off a good shot on target. San Lorenzo fc's Mauricio Naldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silverio Barrionuevo in the 10th minute of play. Edgard Sindo kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the game, Fabio Tancredo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Lorenzo fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Volvio Moreno the free kick. An unexpected shot in the 16th minute by Raúl Noriega got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. João Carlos Porto did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Mauricio Naldo 16 minutes into the match. Mauricio Naldo made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Carlos Porto in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute, Haroldo Presebal made a precise shot to the right of Mauricio Naldo. San Lorenzo fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Raúl Noriega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zacarias Cambranes hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Mauricio Naldo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silverio Barrionuevo went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. João Carlos Porto took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mauricio Naldo. Mauricio Naldo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. 41 minutes into the game, Volvio Moreno's Maximiliano Alonso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mauricio Naldo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. San Lorenzo fc's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Silverio Barrionuevo scored to the left of an out of position Mauricio Naldo, making the score, 8-0. After 47 played minutes San Lorenzo fc got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Tancredo. In the 49th minute, Fabio Tancredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Raúl Noriega managed to get in a good position for a shot. Volvio Moreno's supporters rose to their feet, but Raúl Noriega was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauricio Naldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 8-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amadeo Cambranes to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to San Lorenzo fc getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Alejandro Vargas hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Silverio Barrionuevo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Volvio Moreno fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Maximiliano Alonso hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Manuel Loren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeo Cambranes, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After 61 minutes Volvio Moreno's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fabio Tancredo who took care of the corner kick. Luis Otoniel was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 64 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo fc's goal looked a bit too open when João Carlos Porto came free, but Mauricio Naldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Carlos Porto scored 10-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mauricio Naldo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th minute João Carlos Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Naldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. San Lorenzo fc's Mauricio Naldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Carlos Porto in the 77th minute of play. Volvio Moreno's Gabirel Garantos was substituted for João Carlos Porto. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for San Lorenzo fc! Mauricio Naldo came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Volvio Moreno's Silverio Barrionuevo. But to his dismay, Silverio Barrionuevo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 14-0. After some careless play in the San Lorenzo fc defense, Gabirel Garantos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mauricio Naldo. The San Lorenzo fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mauricio Naldo should have stopped the shot. After 95 minutes of play, Volvio Moreno's Gabirel Garantos made it 16-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mauricio Naldo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mauricio Naldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silverio Barrionuevo in the 99th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Volvio Moreno were the better team. Volvio Moreno's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
