GUTIERREZ SC's David Soter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save GUTIERREZ SC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to CERRO PORTEÑO getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Eusebiu Cimpoi hit a great ball. CERRO PORTEÑO's Jiang Lei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Sandalio in the 30th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mohieddine Ayari got free with David Soter in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as CERRO PORTEÑO's Mohieddine Ayari slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of David Soter. That made the score 2-0 after 45 minutes of play. If Aaron Sandalio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Mohieddine Ayari managed to get in a good position for a shot. CERRO PORTEÑO's supporters rose to their feet, but Mohieddine Ayari was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Soter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. David Soter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohieddine Ayari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Mohieddine Ayari left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CERRO PORTEÑO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Aaron Sandalio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the match, GUTIERREZ SC's goal looked a bit too open when Mohieddine Ayari came free, but David Soter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Melchor Rey fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GUTIERREZ SC's protests and gave Melchor Rey a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to GUTIERREZ SC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Melchor Rey hit a great ball. David Soter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohieddine Ayari in the 95th minute of play. CERRO PORTEÑO were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of GUTIERREZ SC for a fine match.
