Jiang Lei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyprian Cieslak, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. KoLiber's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Herbert Jazwiec in the 39th minute. A throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game was made by Eusebiu Cimpoi with Mohieddine Ayari as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 47th minute, Ibrahim Nezirović left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KoLiber fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The CERRO PORTEÑO players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. KoLiber were winning 1-2.

CERRO PORTEÑO's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Paulo Maldini in the 54th minute. Ibrahim Nezirović could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Jiang Lei made a huge save. In the 69th minute Mohieddine Ayari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miromir Rydzewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute Moreno Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miromir Rydzewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jiang Lei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Jandryca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. KoLiber's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
