Uwe Ziege took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Varallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. KS Górce Bemowo's Zhou Ke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 11th minute of play. Zhou Ke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mesut Özil in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, KS Górce Bemowo's Francisco Varallo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Uwe Ziege narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 15th minute of the match KS Górce Bemowo got a corner. Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pedro Nyaa ran over to the corner to take the kick. Francisco Varallo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Uwe Ziege came out and tried to block the shot, but Francisco Varallo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 16th minute. 19 minutes into the match, KS Górce Bemowo's goal looked a bit too open when Mesut Özil came free, but Zhou Ke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Francisco Varallo scored to the left of an out of position Uwe Ziege, making the score, 2-0. Zhou Ke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 28th minute of the match. Rot-Weiss-Essen's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The audience was convinced that Octavian Basten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zhou Ke was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. With a little luck, KS Górce Bemowo's Zhou Ke got control of the ball when Mesut Özil tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugo Haupt got free with Zhou Ke in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 57th minute, Francisco Varallo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KS Górce Bemowo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. In the 60th minute, Francisco Varallo made a precise shot to the right of Uwe Ziege. Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Hugo Haupt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zhou Ke having to interfere. KS Górce Bemowo made a substitution. Gert Kipper replaced Francisco Varallo. In the 70th minute, Gert Kipper left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Gert Kipper might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Uwe Ziege. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gert Kipper ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 92nd match minute, KS Górce Bemowo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arkadiusz Karanowski to maneuver through the defense. Gert Kipper's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Uwe Ziege read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Gert Kipper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. KS Górce Bemowo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
