Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Pablo Innocenzio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 16th minute Anestis Kotsopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Ireno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute Rot-Weiss-Essen were awarded a corner. Maximilian Henning went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Rot-Weiss-Essen's Maximilian Henning to fire away a dangerous shot which Benedicto Ireno despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 19thth minute of the game Anestis Kotsopoulos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Benedicto Ireno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 21st minute Rot-Weiss-Essen were awarded a corner. Maximilian Henning went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Mesut Özil almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Benedicto Ireno did a great save. A nice corner shot did that Maximilian Henning got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Benedicto Ireno quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Octavian Basten did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-2 to the left of a surprised Benedicto Ireno 28 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yin Wei Yi in the 30th minute of play forced Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper Uwe Ziege to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Colas Valdueza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Uwe Ziege was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Octavian Basten in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benedicto Ireno saved C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ from getting behind. C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Benedicto Ireno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 43rd minute of play. Benedicto Ireno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavian Basten in the 46th minute of play. After some careless play in the C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ defense, Anestis Kotsopoulos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benedicto Ireno. The C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benedicto Ireno should have stopped the shot.

Uwe Ziege didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ. Uwe Ziege didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Márk Stephen shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Igor Montes made a great header on C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's corner, it was just that Rot-Weiss-Essen's Uwe Ziege managed to reach the ball for a save.
