A collision led to JEC - FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Lech Spychalski hit a great ball. Sebastian Villa kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Baptista in the 6th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luisinho Abraão charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luisinho Abraão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to JEC - FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Luisinho Abraão hit a great ball. Delfim Arce made in the 25th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Pero Šiljak. Carlos Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Espinar in the 28th minute of the match. After 29 played minutes JEC - FC got a freekick which was hit by Lech Spychalski. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. JEC - FC's Carlos Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind JEC - FC's goalkeeper Carlos Ramos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carlos Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 44th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Geovani Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Geovani Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luisinho Abraão kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmundo Espiga to make the kick off. Carlos Ramos made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Edmundo Espiga sent off a good shot on target. If Moises Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luca Espinar scored 0-3 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Ramos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. JEC - FC's Carlos Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Villa in the 78th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Ramos saved JEC - FC from getting behind. In the 93rd match minute, JEC - FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisinho Abraão to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Tiaguinho Lira in the 95th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Christian Sancho. When the match was over Honduras could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than JEC - FC throughout the match.
