Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Luciano Pirro made the kick off and thus started the match. 6 minutes into the game, Luciano Pirro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Akis Sarafis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cornelio Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michelangelo Merganiotis in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Michelangelo Merganiotis came free, but Cornelio Cordearo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cornelio Cordearo made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Nikos Sterpis sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute Ramiro Lano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Akis Sarafis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Racing Club's Luciano Pirro in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AFC Ajax's goalie prevented a goal. In the 31st match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benigno Piorno to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute of the match Aleksander Petka sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cornelio Cordearo skillfully saved the ball. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Racing Club's goalkeeper Cornelio Cordearo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Racing Club's Cornelio Cordearo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Racing Club from getting a goal against them. In the 44thth minute of the game Nikos Sterpis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Club's Cornelio Cordearo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nikos Sterpis made a kick off. Luciano Pirro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Akis Sarafis having to make a save. Racing Club made a substitution. Samuel Nevada replaced Miroslaw Jajecznica. AFC Ajax's Thalis Karteris was substituted for Aleksander Petka. Cornelio Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markos Seremetidis in the 65th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Markos Seremetidis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cornelio Cordearo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Akis Sarafis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Epifanio Txomin in the 69th minute of the match. Epifanio Txomin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Akis Sarafis made a huge save. 91 minutes into the match, AFC Ajax's goalkeeper Akis Sarafis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Homer Field. 92 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Markos Seremetidis came free, but Cornelio Cordearo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. AFC Ajax had won after a very even match.
