The Uruguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 20 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Beldad. Camilo Covarrubias charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camilo Covarrubias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Camilo Covarrubias hit a great ball. In the 29th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haroldo de Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Beldad. After having played for 31 minutes, Walmyr Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reko-Recko 03™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Walmyr Proença was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haroldo de Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquin Gayoso acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 36th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Eliézer Cerezo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maximiliano Escribano in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Haroldo de Sena saved Reko-Recko 03™ from getting behind. In the 39th minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haroldo de Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camilo Franco hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Jorge Sainz charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorge Sainz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 40 minutes into the game, one of Uruguay:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 42nd minute there was a penalty for Reko-Recko 03™. Gal Van stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joaquin Gayoso. 1-2. Walmyr Proença's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 45thth minute, Joaquin Gayoso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Haroldo de Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 47th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the game, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Haroldo de Sena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Seco to strike the kick off in the second half. Camilo Covarrubias got his second yellow card in the match during the 59th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 61 minutes into the match, Reko-Recko 03™'s Gal Van broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walmyr Proença in the 62nd minute of play. Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maximiliano Escribano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Reko-Recko 03™'s Haroldo de Sena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Reko-Recko 03™ from getting a goal against them. Haroldo de Sena was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Maximiliano Escribano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 74 minute of play. Tostão Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Seco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Haroldo de Sena having to make a save. In the 84th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haroldo de Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vavá Recko might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vavá Recko ran back to his position shaking his head. Haroldo de Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 94th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Reko-Recko 03™'s zone, Maximiliano Escribano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haroldo de Sena came out of the goal and Maximiliano Escribano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Maximiliano Escribano came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximiliano Escribano couldn't finish the play. Uruguay played a much better game than Reko-Recko 03™ and deserved their victory. The Reko-Recko 03™ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
