The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulão Freire got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Alex Chicote hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Militros F.C.'s zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerd Pollmann came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Militros F.C.'s Paulão Freire shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. In the 39th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulão Freire stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Paulão Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 52nd minute Paulão Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulão Freire in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Militros F.C.'s Francisco Regis got a free kick in the 55th minute. Militros F.C. made a substitution. Wanderson Valencia replaced Paulão Freire. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wanderson Valencia in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jose Correa charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jose Correa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the referee ended the match the Militros F.C. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
