The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Gisbert helped the player get up and apologised. Alberto Gisbert hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Alberto Gisbert hit a great ball. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulão Freire in the 12th minute of play. Gerd Pollmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 15th minute of the match. When Paulão Freire came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Militros F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulão Freire couldn't finish the play. In the 22ndth minute of the game Paulão Freire who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maximiliano Escribano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the game, Jaime Cazalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gerd Pollmann was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 33 minutes, Paulão Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Militros F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulão Freire was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulão Freire in the 35th minute of play. Jaime Cazalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulão Freire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerd Pollmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 43rd minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulão Freire in the 46th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 53 minutes of play Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 54th minute, Alberto Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 56 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Carballal. The Militros F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Militros F.C.'s Paulão Freire looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulão Freire's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Francisco Secos short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Gerd Pollmann to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Militros F.C.'s Cosimo Tagliente got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Gerd Pollmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulão Freire in the 77th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Paulão Freire left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Militros F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wanderson Valencia in the 94th minute of play.
