Cesar Nafarroa charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cesar Nafarroa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Legia Warszawa SA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Nafarroa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, Waldemar Naujasodis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alve Søderholm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alve Søderholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 36 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alve Søderholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zbyszek Zawadzki hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Naujasodis in the 57th minute of play. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Legia Warszawa SA's Stanislaw Klawki. But to his dismay, Stanislaw Klawki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Legia Warszawa SA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zbyszek Zawadzki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zbyszek Zawadzki kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Waldemar Naujasodis in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 76 minutes Legia Warszawa SA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Diego Mancebo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alve Søderholm quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Legia Warszawa SA's Stanislaw Klawki got a free kick in the 78th minute. After having played for 79 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldemar Naujasodis, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Marcovecchio in the 82nd minute of the match. Stanislaw Klawki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cemalettin Özercan hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute, Diego Mancebo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Waldemar Naujasodis's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Waldemar Naujasodis sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. Legia Warszawa SA's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
