Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Galo do Japi's Ronaldo Giovanelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Santana came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Santana's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. A collision led to Galo do Japi getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Durvalino Caca-Rato hit a great ball. After 12 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronaldo Giovanelli was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ronaldo Giovanelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronaldo Giovanelli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Ronaldo Giovanelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Santana's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Galo do Japi were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Chile's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cafu Ringaa took the corner. Urpo Kanerva was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 24 minutes into the game, Carlos Santana recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Thiago Pliego. Carlos Santana showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Durvalino Caca-Rato kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronaldo Giovanelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Ronaldo Giovanelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Casaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 45th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Giovanelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Carlos Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galo do Japi's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Santana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thiago Pliego breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Santana made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Galo do Japi's Carlos Santana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thiago Pliego made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 60th minute of the match, Mariano Lacasa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ronaldo Giovanelli saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 66 minutes of play, Galo do Japi's Carlos Santana made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thiago Pliego was left in no man's land by his defense there! Galo do Japi's Zeca Caca-Rato was substituted for Urpo Kanerva. In the 70th minute Carlos Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Casaus in the 73rd minute of play forced Galo do Japi's goalkeeper Ronaldo Giovanelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute Carlos Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Santana took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Santana in the 79th minute of the match. Orlando Casaus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Ronaldo Giovanelli made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Carlos Santana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. With a little luck, Galo do Japi's Ronaldo Giovanelli got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Belmiro Caca-Rato during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 89th match minute, Galo do Japi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belmiro Caca-Rato to maneuver through the defense. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Santana in the 91st minute of play. Pedro Indiano was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 94 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute there was a penalty for Galo do Japi. Carlos Santana stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Thiago Pliego. 5-1. After 98 played minutes Galo do Japi got a freekick which was hit by Belmiro Caca-Rato. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Galo do Japi had won after a very even match.
