Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vaggelis Pavlidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 19th minute, Alex Chicote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vaggelis Pavlidis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Vaggelis Pavlidis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Alex Chicote made in the 38th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Vęgoria Team's Alf Palm. 40 minutes into the match, Vaggelis Pavlidis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vaggelis Pavlidis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Emre Demir. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.
