In the 7th match minute, ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Bot to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of ECS FK booed when ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Bot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Mathias Freire could shoot a difficult shot in the 20th minute, which Florencio Godoy however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cleto Onbera in the 24th minute of play forced ECS FK's goalkeeper Antonín Škoda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florencio Godoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basarab Bîlbă in the 26th minute of play. Antonín Škoda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Ruben in the 27th minute of play. Antonín Škoda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bengt-Arne Åberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milutin Mrenović in the 32nd minute of play forced ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s goalkeeper Florencio Godoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute Milutin Mrenović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florencio Godoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Florencio Godoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Freire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mathias Freire scored 1-0 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Florencio Godoy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Jonas Isauro fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s protests and gave Jonas Isauro a yellow card for diving instead. Jonas Isauro hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s Florencio Godoy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. from getting a goal against them.

Florencio Godoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basarab Bîlbă in the 51st minute of play. Antonín Škoda made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Bengt-Arne Åberg sent off a good shot on target. Bengt-Arne Åbergs short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Antonín Škoda to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Bengt-Arne Åberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 58th minute of the game. One of ECS FK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.:s goal. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. made a substitution. César Bustamante replaced Marco Ruben. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s Zhuo Jing Zheng was substituted for German Llorian. 65 minutes into the match, Milutin Mrenović notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s Florencio Godoy. Florencio Godoy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. ECS FK made a substitution. Thiago Nascimento replaced Milutin Mrenović. Rafael Rezende hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Davis Damasceno in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florencio Godoy saved ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. from getting behind. In the 80th match minute, ECS FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Freire to maneuver through the defense. After 91 minutes ECS FK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wincenty Wykowski who took care of the corner kick. Florencio Godoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thiago Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 97 minutes into the match, ECS FK's goalkeeper Antonín Škoda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by César Bustamante.

When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see ECS FK lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
