In the 6th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Team Rocco's Vincent Olofsson in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. In the 11th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Team Rocco's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ecuador's attack was well implemented in the 12th minute, but when Cristian Sancho was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. In the 15th minute Vincent Olofsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastian Nordlund during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sebastian Nordlund hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 19 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Team Rocco's Sven-Edvin Mårtensson. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 22 minutes into the match, Göran Unesson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Vera, 1-1. Vilhelm Moberg hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of play forced Team Rocco's goalkeeper Sven-Edvin Mårtensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Vincent Olofsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Vincent Olofsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd minute, Sebastian Nordlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sven-Edvin Mårtensson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vincent Olofsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 48th minute of play forced Team Rocco's goalkeeper Sven-Edvin Mårtensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sven-Edvin Mårtensson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 59 minutes into the match, Team Rocco's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Sven-Edvin Mårtensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Team Rocco's Göran Unesson in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Edvin Mårtensson having to interfere. Sebastian Nordlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 80 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montenegro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent Olofsson in the 81st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Sven-Edvin Mårtensson made a huge save. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Edvin Mårtensson having to interfere. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
