Sant Sabo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cheng Le Xing to maneuver through the defense. Cheng Le Xing struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C. If Raúl Dagora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cheng Le Xing's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Ecuador's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cheng Le Xing fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Cheng Le Xing sent off a good shot on target. Eugenio Molina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 33rd minute of the match. After 34 minutes F.C. Sant Sabo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Cheng Le Xing left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C. Sant Sabo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Roberto Mata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, F.C. Sant Sabo's Mazuste Flores got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when F.C. Sant Sabo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreu Buenafuente didn't get a good kick on the ball. The F.C. Sant Sabo players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
