Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erling Lewandowski in the 10th minute of the match. USA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Fernando Amorebieta scored to the left of an out of position Marco Day, making the score, 1-0. Scarafia Ghost took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Go Ahead Eagles's Scarafia Ghost played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio Gonçalves in the 29th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the game, Cassius Byrne cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Scarafia Ghost was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cássio Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Cássio Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Go Ahead Eagles's supporters rose to their feet, but Cássio Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Day breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Erling Lewandowski made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Koby Fletcher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erling Lewandowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Day having to interfere. Merih Yesari kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Go Ahead Eagles's Giorgos Kontodimos was substituted for Panos Kaklamanos. Go Ahead Eagles made a substitution. Iustin Bâru replaced Erling Lewandowski. In the 62nd minute, Merih Yesari hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of USA booed when Go Ahead Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giorgos Kontodimos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Khalid Parry took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Scarafia Ghost. Scarafia Ghost dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Scarafia Ghost showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sam Campbell in the 88th minute of the match. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustin Bâru in the 92nd minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Iustin Bâru came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Go Ahead Eagles were victorious despite being under pressure from USA for much of the match.
