The supporters of Colombia booed when Barcelona de América was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldinho Gentenaar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barcelona de América's Tenorio Reiriz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Kevin Mastache got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abram Sarmiento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Abram Sarmiento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 50th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Santino Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kevin Mastache blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tenorio Reiriz having to make a save. 62 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Bradford Scalzo came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Colombia players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Barcelona de América from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
