Cable a Tierra's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castanheiro SC the free kick. Pablo Lizzio kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Nacho Gonzalez came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Castanheiro SC's Marcelo Eger. But to his dismay, Marcelo Eger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 34 played minutes Castanheiro SC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Eger. Nacho Gonzalez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Sarmento, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Ciriaco Mantzio was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 42 minutes into the match. Cable a Tierra made a substitution. Fabio Fidencio replaced Pablo Lizzio. 41 minutes into the game, one of Cable a Tierra:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

Marcelo Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nacho Gonzalez having to interfere. Nacho Gonzalez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Pinho in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute Cosme Turi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doni Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baltasar Gaitan's late challenge caught a Castanheiro SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baltasar Gaitan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd minute, Baltasar Gaitan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nacho Gonzalez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Eger in the 83rd minute of the match. Cable a Tierra's Nacho Gonzalez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júnior Alagoano in the 84th minute of play. Castanheiro SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
