Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rubén Martínez took the kick off in the first half of the match. Joacim Hansson hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Sweden's Isak Jacobsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubén Martínez in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute Chile were awarded a corner. Lorencio Irarrázaval went to the cornerflag to take it. After a defensive mix-up in Chile's zone, Fredric Hybbert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darío Friederichs came out of the goal and Fredric Hybbert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, Sweden's goal looked a bit too open when Rubén Martínez came free, but Isak Jacobsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Sebastian Käller's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Darío Friederichs was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. In the 20th minute, Sebastian Käller made a precise shot to the right of Darío Friederichs. Chile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 35th minute Carlo Darrigrande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isak Jacobsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Sweden's goal looked a bit too open when Rubén Martínez came free, but Isak Jacobsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Darío Friederichs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrik Berg, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Sweden's Fredric Hybbert got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Chile players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sweden were winning 0-1.
Isak Jacobsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Goicoechea in the 58th minute of play. If Alfonso Goicoechea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chile made a substitution. Claudio-Paul Pirinchev replaced Rubén Martínez. Chile's Rogelio Mendiola was substituted for Alfonso Goicoechea. Sweden's Isak Jacobsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eren Jaeger in the 64th minute of play. Isak Jacobsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlo Darrigrande in the 66th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlo Darrigrande in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isak Jacobsson saved Sweden from getting behind. Sweden's Junior Junior was substituted for Fredric Hybbert. A well-hit corner resulted in Claudio-Paul Pirinchev heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Darío Friederichs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jörgen Levander in the 76th minute of the match. Chile's Darío Friederichs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörgen Levander in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th minute Jörgen Levander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darío Friederichs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Sweden's Darío Friederichs threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jörgen Levander, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 85th minute of the match Sweden got a corner. Chile's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joacim Hansson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Carlo Darrigrande's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isak Jacobsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Darío Friederichs had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivar Lindqvist. Darío Friederichs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jörgen Levander in the 93rd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the game, Sweden's Ivar Lindqvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Darío Friederichs made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The Sweden players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
